Ross Il-Forn ( Baked Rice)
Like a pasta bake but with rice, this Maltese dish is the ultimate comfort food. This dish is Mediterranean in flavour, filled with brown long-grain rice, Halo Hill Beef mince, bone broth with freshness of oregano and mint. Finished with a crispy cheese top and some fresh basil leaves, this hearty dish is perfect for filling hungry bellies.
The dish doesn't do well reheated but is delicious cold.

Store Frozen, defrost before reheating. Consume within 48hrs of defrosting.
To defrost, place in fridge overnight.
Preheat oven to 190C. Remove lid and bake in oven for 25-30 mins till top is nicely crusted.
If you have leftovers, this dish doesn’t reheat well but is delicious eaten cold.
